the first snow

We got our first real snow this morning. I'll tell ya what, we have the craziest weather here! Just last week it was totally warm and all around beautiful.

Usually after the fall leaves all come down, we just have cold, cold and colder until Christmas where we are met with a lovely shade of brown on the ground. The combination of unraked dead leaves, dying grass and mud.

But this year, it snowed in October!

I realized something (again) when I came in to work this morning. Things are more exciting when you're still a kid. All of the kids were excited about the snow. I was just moaning about how I had to clean it off my car ;)

But seriously, it's really cool to be reminded of how we once saw things as children. Even when I'm old, I hope I can have kids around on a regular basis so I won't forget to be like one. I don't want to grow up!!!

Post from one year ago (yesterday) I HAD to post this anyways, because it's huuularious. At least I think so ;): stalk me

my manager brought in a snow ball. and threatened us. It was very nice of her.

i hate snow. Its not allowed to snow until December 20th, and then it can snow enough to give us a white Christmas, and new years, and then BE DONE WITH IT!

Your snow stuck? Where are you? It snowed here last night, but it was too wet to stick, which honestly, I think stuck snow is better than wet slush snow, it would have made me feel like going Christmas shopping instead of working on the computer from home on church stuff in my sweats :)

My mom was moaning and groaning about the snow yesterday. She was asking me what the sunshine looks like :)

Suppose to be high 70's today and in the 80's tomorrow. I am enjoying it to it's fullest. After living in NY, Alaska, North Dakota, and Vermont I think I deserve some WARM weather!

I do miss the magic of the first few snows. In Vermont it was especially lovely.

p.s. Yesterday I checked out your photography website... BLEW ME AWAY! So awesome, Amanda! I could not be happier for you!

We didn't get snow, but my in-laws that are about an hour away had almost 3 inches. Many places within 20 minutes of us got some, but I didn't see a single flake.
But, seriously, this is crazy weather for October. I'm so glad it will be nice for Halloween though.
