I've decided to learn the ways of yard saling...

I tried my hand out at it yesterday... with not much luck. But I still had a good time. Yard saling is definitely a great way to find under-priced antiques though. And this china plate was no exception. Two mis-matched pieces $.50 each. I'm kind of a mis-matchy type of girl. The kind who does not like symmetry or perfection. I love that old mis-matchy things have a story behind them. Years of people before me enjoying their not quite perfect shape... and the conversations had over dessert on these pieces now separated from their original mates. Something about that is more special to me than pretty things bought from the store, straight out of the box, wouldn't you agree?
